The Preserve is a private habitat located in beautiful rural Pierce County, Wisconsin. We work to develop appreciation of the area's natural beauty and an understanding of its rich geological, anthropological, and bio-diverse ecosystems.

We are unique in that we provide timely, environmentally-relevant information from leading physical and social scientists and encourage individuals to examine this information from a reflective, spiritual perspective. We encourage practices that express human-kind's integral relationship as an element of nature, versus as a user or consumer of nature.

We particularly encourage individuals to learn to love where they live (develop a sense of place). This love in turn, we hope, will generate personal leadership practices of care and conservation of natural spaces.

We facilitate leadership development using nature/the natural environment as co-facilitator and teacher, and develop the leadership skills and aptitudes of those seeking to lead sustainability efforts in their communities and organizations. And...we have lots of good conversation and fun!

We'd love to host your group.
